Get ready to put your engineering hats on!
As part of our World War II history topic, Year 6 is holding a special Design & Technology Day. We would be delighted to invite you to join us for the morning session.
The Mission: You will team up with your child to design and build a brand-new model of an air raid shelter. Using the materials provided, you’ll need to think about strength, stability, and design to create a structure that could protect people during the Blitz.
The Test: At the end of the morning, we will put all the shelters to the ultimate test to see how they hold up under pressure.
Can your shelter survive?
This is a fantastic opportunity to get hands-on with your child’s learning, share in their creativity, and tackle a fun engineering challenge.
Please let the Year 6 teacher’s know if you are able to attend via Class Dojo.
We look forward to seeing many of you there!
