Welcome to Year 3! Our classes are 3G and 3M <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are a happy bunch who enjoy expressing ourselves and having fun through learning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our teachers are Mrs Martin and Mrs Goodchild and our Teaching Assistants are Mrs Kersey-Lemon on Mondays and Tuesdays and Mrs Day for the rest of the week. We also have two Inclusion Assistants; Mrs Hoptroff and Mrs Jackson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are activie learners in Year 3 and introduce the Key Stage 2 curriculum, building on the learning and experiences in Key Stage 1. One of the key objectives is to build independence across the curriculum. In the mornings, our focus is on Maths and English activities. Our afternoons are spent learning about a range of themes including Europe, Roman Britain, and Growth and Plants. Our Learning Threads link our learning across the curriculum and build on prior learning. We enjoy our learning’ challenge activities in our Theme sessions and understand that the best way to learn is through a range of experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In year 3, we aim to further develop the children’s love of reading and our inspirational characters are both famous children’s authors. 3M’s character is David Walliams. 3G’s character is the children’s author Roald Dahl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
