Year 2

Welcome to Year 2!

We are 6 and 7 year olds who have a curiosity for learning!

In Year 2 we find out lots of new things about the world around us such as the names and locations of the oceans and continents of our world, plants and animals that inhabitat planet Earth, where our planet fits into our solar system and how to keep ourselves and our world healthy. We also love travelling into the past and investigating important events and people such as the Titanic disaster, Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole, the first animals and humans in space, the Wright brothers and the Montgolfier brothers.

In Year 2 we are passionate about play and have lots of opportunities to explore our interests through ‘Plan, Do, Review’ activities which we can choose ourselves. Our classroom is set up into different areas so that we can reinforce new learning and skills during our play, helping us learn more and remember more. We have so much fun each and every day and love sharing what we do on Class Dojo so our parents can see too!
