The School Games Mark is a government-led awards scheme launched in 2012 to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community.
We are very proud to have been awarded the Platinum Award by School Sports Partnership in Derby. The platinum award is earned for achieving the Gold award for 5 consecutive years. This is the highest award you can achieve and it represents our ongoing commitment towards sport, keeping healthy and active participation for all! An outstanding achievement of which we are very proud!
In 2013 the government announced that it was to provide funding of £150 million to improve provision of physical education and sport in primary schools in England – The Primary PE and Sport Premium. This funding is ring-fenced and therefore can only be spent on improving provision of PE and sport in schools.
